Pretty Home Realty is Shawn and Christina Calhoun. Christina is the Broker. Shawn has been a licensed Michigan real estate professional since 2000. We work across Oakland, Wayne and Macomb County, and we take fewer clients on purpose so that the person you hire is the person you get.

Shawn Calhoun has been a licensed Michigan real estate professional since 2000 and runs sales for the brokerage. Early on he watched an agent handle a family badly, and decided that whatever he built would run the other way. That is why the first move with a seller here is a written diagnosis instead of a pitch, and why we would rather lose a listing than win it with a number we do not believe. He is also the reason there are four hundred videos on the YouTube channel, most of them answering a question somebody asked him on the phone.
Christina Calhoun is the Broker of record and co-founder. She has closed everything from short sales to salons to historic Detroit homes, and she is the one clients call when a deal gets complicated, which is most deals. Judy Moon, whose review is on this site, describes her as having worked a miracle. Christina would tell you it was paperwork and persistence.
Together we help Metro Detroit homeowners make honest decisions about pricing, preparation, marketing and timing. Sometimes that means listing. Sometimes it means waiting six months. We will tell you which one it is.

Including the parts you did not want to hear. Especially the price. We would rather lose a listing than win it with a number we do not believe, because the number we do not believe is the one that puts you back on the market in six months.
The plan goes in writing before you sign
Everything we do on every listing, published, so you can hold us to them. A marketing plan you cannot read is not a plan, it is a promise.
You reach a person
Our clients say the same thing over and over in their reviews: they called and somebody answered. That is a low bar and most of this industry does not clear it.
Sometimes the answer is wait
If the right move is six months from now, or a refinance, or fixing two things first, we will say so, and we will not get paid for saying it. That is the whole business model.
